Parent’s Responsibilities:
I will
· Have high expectations of my child.
· Show respect and support for my child, his/her teachers, and the school.
· Monitor assignments, encourage homework completion, and talk/read with my child daily.
· Send my child to school or attend online school regularly, on time, well-fed, well rested, and with appropriate materials.
· Notify the teacher of changes affecting attendance, achievement, attitude or behavior.
· Support the school in its efforts to maintain proper discipline.
· Remember that there are two sides to every issue.
· Assist my child in learning to resolve conflicts in positive ways.
· Participate, whenever possible, in parent/school involvement activities.
· Regularly monitor my child’s progress and participate in educational decisions relating to my child.

I will
· Attending school or online school regularly, on time, prepared and with all necessary materials.
· Behave well and abide by all school rules and resolve conflicts in a positive way
· Set aside time for homework and return completed assignments on time.
· Respect myself, my school, and others.
· Listen and participate in class.
· Get to bed at a reasonable hour and get plenty of sleep each night.

Teacher’s Responsibilities:
I will
· Be aware of the individual needs of my students and provide supplemental assistance for students experiencing difficulties.
· Actively participate in collaborative decision making.
· Consistently work with colleagues to support the formation of partnerships with families and the community.
· Provide an environment that is safe, welcoming, supportive, and conducive to learning.
· Establish ongoing communication with parents through:
· Parent-teacher conferences
· Quarterly progress reports
· Reasonable access to staff
· Newsletters
· Back to School Night, grade level meetings, and other scheduled events
· Opportunities to volunteer, observe, and participate in classroom activities

· Use special activities in the classroom to make learning exciting and fun.
· Provide all the necessary assistance to parents so that they can help with assignments.
· Participate in professional development opportunities that improve teaching and learning.
· Respect students, staff, and families.
· Provide high quality curriculum aligned with the Oklahoma state standards through:
· 90 minutes of reading/language arts
· 60 minutes of math.
